Eight steps from first call to a successful handoff
Most sales close within 3 to 9 months. Here's what happens at each stage, and how your confidentiality is protected the whole way through.
Discovery call
A confidential conversation about your practice, your goals for price and timing, and what you want your role to be after the sale.
Valuation
We review three years of revenue, your client list and demographics, services, fees and systems, then give you a realistic price range and recommended terms.
Listing agreement & profile
You sign a simple listing agreement (10% success fee, nothing upfront). We write a professional practice profile and a blind listing for you to approve.
Confidential marketing
We present the blind listing to registered buyers who match. Interested buyers sign an NDA and are screened before receiving the full profile.
Buyer meetings & offers
You meet the strongest candidates. We collect offers, compare them on price, structure and fit, and negotiate the best terms for you.
Letter of intent & due diligence
You accept a letter of intent. The buyer reviews financials, client data and operations while we keep the timeline moving.
Purchase agreement & closing
Your attorney and the buyer's finalize the purchase agreement. We coordinate financing, the closing and funds transfer. Our fee is paid from the proceeds.
Client transition
Introduction letters, joint client meetings and a planned first season together, so clients stay and any retention-based payments are maximized.
Timelines are typical, not guaranteed, and depend on practice size, buyer financing and the time of year.
